Sally Harrison

Field Manager

NORC at the University of Chicago

Years on the NLS team: 1997-2012

Role: I have listed, interviewed, and managed several different geographical NLS regions many times over the past 20 years with NORC.

What innovations have I helped introduce to the NLS

One accomplishment in which I take pride is being given the opportunity to help manage a team of travelers-only during the '97 cohort refielding effort. After interviewing for a few months on the project, I was thrust into a managing role to do something I'd never done before. With the help and encouragement of many people, I succeeded in spite of myself!

Why am I proud to be part of the NLS team

I am proud to be a part of the NLS team because of the leadership's dedication to excellence that permeates the study from staffing to FI/FM training to introducing innovation to educating respondents. Project management is genuinely interested in providing the best possible experience for both staff and respondents. I always felt valued and respected.
