Commemorating the 50th anniversary of
the National Longitudinal Surveys
Years on the NLS team: 1979-present
Role: I started at CHRR as THE data entry operator. Surveys, programs, etc. were paper and pencil in those days. I keyed all the documentation, updates for the NLSY79, the NLSY97 and the NLS Bibliography until everything was fully digitalized. Now I click, swipe, scan and run apps.
Because my job depended on accuracy and speed, I was always figuring out ways to do complete jobs with the highest proficiency possible. I would and still do make suggestions to my peers on how to speed up the process.
The NLS Team is a team. Real people working together as a supportive group to achieve the same goal - keep the NLS going!
