Why I chose NLS data

The NLS is a great research tool because it allows us to follow child development into the labor market. Particularly with the CNLSY we can observe early childhood achievement test scores, and then see how this children later performed on the market. I do not know of any other data set that provides as complete a picture of the lifetimes of individuals in the United States.
